One of the best things about summertime is county fairs. Hippo goes every year to admire the animals, munch on funnel cakes, sip fresh lemonade, and contemplate whether he's brave enough to try the wild rides.

Those rides are all just too scary for me. Especially after eating a bellyfull of carnival food!
Oh, carnival food! Yum.
My favorites are the veggie kabobs (lots of veggies on a stick, battered and deep fried - so yummy!) and sweet potato fries.
