Dear Hippo-fans,
I'm a very sad hippo right now, and sorry to tell you that Rick--my co-blogger and best friend in the world--passed away after a very long illness.
I haven't posted much lately, and I'm going to take a break from it again, but he made me promise to go back to having adventures and blogging about them when I'm ready.
I'm very grateful to have had the support of my hippo-fans through everything. I know Rick was, too.

We love you too, Hippo. I only met Rick a couple of times, through my husband's work, and he was a great guy. I'm so glad he introduced us to you. My heart goes out to you.

This is your Russian friend Elena who shared some winter hippo photos a few months ago. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. It's very hard times but you will get through. there are a lot of people who are supporting you at least virtually. My heart is with you. Looking forward to read about more adventures of yours!
