Happy Birthday (Hip)Poe!

Today was Edgar Allan (Hip)Poe's 201st birthday! I'm afraid of visiting spooky graveyards in the dark, so I went to visit his grave site during daylight hours in September when it was sunny and warm.

For the first time since 1949, the Poe Toaster didn't show up. Maybe he had his calendar open to the wrong page.

I am a very literate little hippo, so I decided to pay a visit to my favorite author: Edgar Allan (Hip)Poe!


I visited the house where he lived and wrote some of his stories and poems,


And also the grave where he is buried.
